Radisson Blu Plaza Helsinki

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the city with different Finnish designed rooms. Inside is a world class restaurant, Kitzens, and top of the line amenities (there is a gym and sauna room available to hotel guests.) Furthermore, guests could request for warm blankets, memory pillows and massaging machines at no extra cost to make their stay more cozy and relaxed. Love this hotel!

Birka Hostel Stockholm

Loved this hostel! Got the twin room with private bathroom for a very reasonable price! It is a minute away from the Hotorget metro station, within walking distance from downtown (Central Station) and right across a huge Urban Deli! There is free coffee, tea and pasta 24/7 in the kitchen (you cook the pasta and provide your own sauce). Plus, the receptionists are very nice and helpful!

Restaurang Kryp In (Gamla Stan)

A good friend of mine suggested I have the three-course recommendation from this traditional restaurant in Gamla Stan. As expected, each course did not disappoint!

Chanterelle soup, truffle, cream cheese, watercress

 Swedish Pale Ale

Complimentary bread

Reindeer, pumpkin creme, gooseberry compote, Västerbotten cheese-flavoured mashed potatoes, sundried lingonberries, red wine sauce
Milk chocolate mousse, Swedish punsch, crocant, berries

Old Town/Gamla Stan, Stockholm

Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s old town. Here you will find out a lot about Stockholm’s history. I suggest you join one of the free walking tours to discover Stockholm’s interesting history. If you want to buy souvenir or try tradition Swedish/Scandinavian dishes, Gamla Stan is the place to visit!😊

SoFo District and Götgatan Shopping Street, Stockholm

SoFo or South of Folkungagatan is the hip area in Södermalm where you will find fashionable second-hand clothing stores, nicely designed cafés, interesting antique shops, popular designer stores and loads of other cool things!

To start: Get off at Slussen on the green line of the Metro and walk all the way to Gulmarsplan via Götgatan (main street) to see all the local and imported shops. Götgatan, which happens to be one of the longest streets in Stockholm, is a favorite amongst tourists as it has both popular and independent brands, cafés and restaurants. If you turn right on one of the side streets like Skånegatan you will instantly have a feel of the SoFo vibe.

This place is also within walking distance of T-Centralen (Central Station) and Drottninggatan (the popular shopping street). Actually, every place downtown is within walking distance. I think this is the better option when you have a lot time in your hands as it lets you enjoy the beautiful view.

It’s normal to find coffee shops inside clothing stores
